The trek ahead of Khee village is quite level.
The chortens start coming outside the villages. The fields of Kuru village provide a
welcome change from the barren hill all around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Padum, the capital of Zanskar. A road leads from here to Kargil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
