Tirthan Valley Trek Part II

Camp fire at Nada Thach after a good dinner.

Start of the third day from Nada Thach.

The Nada Thach.

Tekram showing the remains of a recently hunted animal.

Nada Thach looks inviting from this distance.

Good way to sharpen the claws.

Bear shit, but what a place.

Nala comes down on our left on its way to meet Tirthan.

We are again with Tirthan river, we are at Shankha Thach.

We stop here for tea though one can camp here without any problem.

The trail now continues along the river bed.

The jungle is deep and its better to walk together.

Finally we reach the Majhoni, where we camped for two days.

Leaving Lotram behind at our Majhoni cave shelter, we head for Tirath.

The trail keeps climbing till …..

…. one reaches the point where the valley opens up.

The vegetation in front of Bhiundwari, supposed to be rice field of Bhim.

The locals do not carry any items across the river to the Tirath.

Leaving behind our day sacks we cross the cold nala bare foot.

Finally we have reached the Tirath.

The Shivling at Tirath next to the sacred pools.

The Kal kund, this water is not to be touched.

The Hans kund, from where Tirthan is supposed to begin its journey.
