Kagbhushandi Tal Part II
Camp on third day.
We have to climb the slope behind the camp, moving to the right.
Top of the pass rock seen from below as we slowly climb up.
Top of the KumKum Khal.
We move down the KukKum Khal into the valley below.
The slope to the left of the rock which we have to climb to reach the lake.
Our camp on the fourth day, brief appearance of sun allowed us to dry our wet cloths.
First view of the lake.
Indra leads the way to the lake. The route from Bhyundar village also reaches the lake, where the red flag is flying.
A dip in the holy Kagbhushandi lake is a must for my companions from the village.
A small temple at the lake.
The start of a river.
Bhram Kamals.
The trail coming from Bhyundar side.
The Kagbhushandi lake from some elevation.
Coming back to the camp as the clouds move in. The final slope.
Fully satisfied we were back at the camp.
All wet and shivering the final photo on the KumKum Khal.
On our way back in the rain.
We decided to camp under the rock where two platforms have been made by the forest personnel.
Somehow we erected the tent under the rock for our fifth day camp.
Early next morning, Dunagiri from the fifth day camp.
I did not feel like moving from the camp as we got respite from rain and warmth from sun was welcome.
Soon clouds again came back and we moved down.
Joshimath from the solu ridge.
Thick vegetation was again a big botheration as we climbed down.
Final cup of tea as we left the jungle behind.
Rana came to see us off all the 500 meters from Panka village to the roadhead.
