Milam Trek
Part I

View of Panchchuli peaks from the town of Munsiyari.

The sun rays hit the peak no 1 as we get ready for the day.

The Pandey lodge as we reach the Bus stand of Munsiyari.

The PWD board at Selapani giving the distances of various places on the route.

The trek starts from Selapani with a descent.

Gori winding its way down below to meet Kali at Jauljibi.

The bridge at Jimmy ghat.

The landslide portion with the raging Gori flowing down below.

Must admit the PWD works on this trail, here they are fixing the route.

Once the climb from Lilam is over the trail towards the waterfall point.

No way to avoid it. During rains it becomes dangerous.

Dewan enters it and vanishes for a few seconds.

Gets out on the other side half soaked.

The trail along the Gori after the hotel some distance away from the waterfall.

Ralam nala gushes down to join Gori.

Rargari comes into view.

The hotel at Rargari below the cliff.

Good place to have lunch.

A heavy diesel engine part being taken to the survey site.

A big stone being cut into flat pieces by these men using age old techniques.

A bridge under construction, the old one had been washed away during heavy rains.

The trail passing through jungle.

Another hotel before  Bog Udiyar.

What a way to make the path over the slanting rock face.

The Bog Udiyar.

A flight of steps takes you to Nahar Devi, where we stopped for tea.

The hotel at Nahar Devi.

As you climb beyond the hotel  you encounter these cliffs.
