Everest Base Camp Part I
Everest
(Part I)

Everything starts from capital, Kathmandu. The Hanuman Dhoka
is a must visit.

A flight brings you to Lukla in 45 minutes from Kathmandu
giving you a breathtaking view of the great Himalayan peaks.

The bridge high above the Dudh Kosi takes you to the right
bank of the river. Immediately thereafter the climb to the Namche Bazaar starts.

The Tangboche monastery.

The panoramic view of Ama Dablam on right and Lhotse-Nuptse
wall on left from Tangboche.

The Garden Lodge at Deboche, which is another 30 minutes from
Tangboche at a lower altitude.

View of Pangboche towards Namche Bazaar.

Ama Dablam and Lhotse-Nuptse wall from just above Pangboche.

Everest just raising its head behind Lhotse-Nuptse wall.

The Lhotse-Nuptse wall with Everest showing its crest from
behind.

The Yaks carrying loads in the backdrop of Ama Dablam

The fields of Dingboche.

As we move down the trail we reach the Khumbu glacier. The
Pumori rises high.

Sunset on Lhotse as seen from Lobuche.

Sun is setting and the moon is rising. Shivering from cold, we
retreat to the warmth of the lodge.
